Bunny Ears Cactus (Outdoor) is a self-portrait and provides a glimpse within the spectrum of my experiences during home quarantine. In this work, the figure is meditating in the yoga "tree" pose but her true identity is masked because her head has grown into an elaborate group of bunny ears cactus.

Nested atop the cactus, the sun, moon, stars, and birds outside the windows signify the passage of time. Cities and road blocks cascade along the atmosphere with no trace of traffic or human activities.

Cactus is a common house plant and serves as the symbol of indoor containment. Its hardiness is resilient and spines protective. The delicate flowers bloom in arid conditions.
